As per the update from the CPU shared on September 27, here is the calendar for 2024 championships:

• Eastern Championships – March 21 – 24, 2024, St. John’s NL
• Westerns Championships – March 7 – 11, 2024, Moose Jaw SK
• Centrals Championships – Feb 15 – 18, 2024, Belleville ON
• National Championships – Sept 9-14, 2024, Summerside PEI

In July, the OPA posted a request for bids to host 2024 OPA provincials in the spring. The original deadline was the upcoming OPA AGM (December 3 – stay tuned, we are posting another update on this soon!). However, given the recently finalized dates of the CPU championships, we are seeking submissions until October 15. After that date, our goal is to communicate the meet details (dates, location) to membership within 2-3 weeks.

As a reminder, Provs ’24 will be a combined champion of Youth/Sub Jr/Jr/Open/Masters. There will also be a lifter cap, to be determined by the meet directors and OPA executive.

You can submit bids to host Provs 2024 now to president@ontariopowerlifting.org and cao@ontariopowerlifting.org until October 15.
